Improved Score Following for Acoustic Performances
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper examines the standard string-matching approach to automated score following of an acoustic performance, looking at limitations imposed by both the score representation used and the matching approach. The approach is then extended through the incorporation of duration information and matchscores based on a model of transcriber error. The resulting score follower promises to allow computerbased accompaniment to follow acoustic performances in situations where earlier systems would fail.

Robust Polyphonic Midi Score Following with Hidden Markov Models
Although modern audio score following systems work very well with low polyphony performances, they are still too imprecise with highly polyphonic instruments such as the piano, or the guitar. On the other hand, these instruments can easily output Midi information which shows that our work on robust Midi score following is still needed. We propose an adaptation to Midi input of our HMM-based sto...
متن کاملOuter-Product Hidden Markov Model and Polyphonic MIDI Score Following
We present a polyphonic MIDI score-following algorithm capable of following performances with arbitrary repeats and skips, based on a probabilistic model of musical performances. It is attractive in practical applications of score following to handle repeats and skips which may be made arbitrarily during performances, but the algorithms previously described in the literature cannot be applied t...
متن کاملThe Relationship Between Acoustic Characteristics and Personality Dimensions in Patients With Dysphonia
Objectives: Voice is influenced by personality. However, it is still questionable which acoustic features are influenced by personality traits. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between acoustic characteristics and personality dimensions. Methods: Thirty-three participants with dysphonia and 33 participants without dysphonia were recruited to take part in this cross-sectional st...
متن کاملSurgical Outcomes of Cerebellopontine angle Tumors in 50 Cases
Introduction: To report our experience with a large series of surgical procedures for removal of cerebellopontine angle (CPA) tumors using different approaches. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of 50 patients (mean age, 49 years) with CPA tumors (predominantly acoustic neuroma) who underwent surgical removal using appropriate techniques (principally a translabyrinthine...
متن کاملThe Study of Vocal Function in Patients With Early Laryngeal Carcinoma After Transoral Laser Microsurgery
Objective Today transoral laser microsurgery is considered as one of the first options to control early laryngeal cancer, and voice disorder is one of the inevitable complications of this therapeutic component. This study aimed to compare the vocal function in patients with early-stage laryngeal cancer following laser surgery with healthy individuals with normal voice quality using acoustic ana...
